From Storm Team 5 Meteorologist Dave Miller...
We experienced another round of showers and thunderstorms which produced heavy rain in some locations especially north and west of Green Bay. While Green Bay received .87" for the 24 hour period ending Saturday morning, other locations like White Lake in Langlade County saw 3.77" fall in the same time frame. Another location northeast of Iola in Waupaca County picked up 3.25" of heavy rain. Cloudy skies dominated most of the day on Saturday along with a scattering of showers. We will see some partial clearing later Saturday evening. Some partial fog is possible by early Sunday morning.
Sunday looks like the nicest day of the holiday weekend. We should see the patchy fog lift early Sunday morning followed by partly cloudy skies with highs near 80 degrees. Showers and storms move back into the picture on Labor Day with highs around 80 again. We will experience some sunshine Tuesday before clouds and some showers move back in late in the evening which could continue into early Wednesday morning. Skies will clear out during the day on Wednesday with highs around 80. Some storms again are possible on late Thursday night. Scattered storms should continue into Friday. Highs drop back into the low 80s by the end of next week.
Have a safe Holiday Weekend!
