From Storm Team 5 Meteorologist Dave Miller...
After a great weekend where we had a good dose of sunshine, the clouds have returned on Monday. Along with the clouds will follow some showers and thunderstorms throughout the day. The showers and a few thunderstorms were moving across the Badger State by midday on Monday. The area of rain will continue through Monday evening before ending for a time. We will start out Tuesday with some sunshine although as a cold front rolls by late Tuesday and into Wednesday morning, the chances for showers will linger until later Wednesday morning before skies begin to clear out.
We will see some very cool temperatures for Monday with highs in the 60s to low 70s.
A rebound to warmer temperatures back into the mid to upper 70s will return on Tuesday and stay that way for the remainder of the week.
The weather should remain quiet for the rest of the week and into the weekend with the exception of a very weak front which is expected to move across the state on Friday afternoon. That could trigger a few showers especially in the northwoods during the day. Whatever showers show up with this front should be out of the way by the time the Packers take on the Cardinals at Lambeau Field Friday evening to kickoff the pre-season schedule.
