From Storm Team 5 Meteorologist Dave Miller...
We are starting out Wednesday morning with some clouds and some patchy fog in a few locations following the violent storms which moved through late Tuesday night. Many communities were without power early Wednesday after these storms which were moving around 65 mph were producing wind gusts in excess of 70 mph. Many trees and power lines were reported down as a result of the storms. Skies will slowly clear out during the afternoon on Wednesday allowing temperatures to warm into the upper 70s.
The weather should remain quiet for the rest of the week and into the weekend with the exception of a very weak front which is expected to move across the state early Friday morning. That could produce a few showers during the early morning hours and skies will clear out during the day on Friday.
We will be looking a great evening by the time the Packers take on the Cardinals at Lambeau Field Friday evening to kickoff the pre-season schedule. The kickoff temperature should be in the low 70s.
The weekend currently looks good with sunny skies on Saturday and partly cloudy skies on Sunday with highs in the 70s both days. There is a better chance for showers and thunderstorm on Monday afternoon and evening.
