Dairy Legislation Standstill

The creation of a new long term farm bill has run into another hurdle as there is disagreement over dairy legislation. While the conferees are looking at a supply-management element to the bill...House Speaker John Boehner says that would be a deal breaker for him
The creation of a new long term farm bill is facing yet another hurdle. This time the disagreement is over dairy policy and the two combatants are House Speaker John Boehner and
Ranking House Ag Committee Member Colin Peterson. Peterson is pushing for the farm bill conferees to support the Dairy Security Act which does contain a supply management
