"Hometown Hero" saw compassion for enemy pilot and relief when Japan surrendered
(WFRV) A Menasha man saw combat in the closing months of World War II.

During his South Pacifc tour with the navy...Don Zolkowski saw the war come to an end. But before that....Local Five's Terry Kovarik reports this weeks "Hometown Hero" also saw Japanese warriors as threats to life and fellow combatants.
