27th Annual Packers Women's Association Food Drive

Prior to kickoff, the Packers Women's Association collected food items and monetary donations at Lambeau Field today.
GREEN BAY, Wis. (WFRV) - Football fans attending Sunday's game donated 12,900 non-perishable food items and $13,309 for the Packers Women's Association's (PWA) 27th annual Food Drive for Paul's Pantry.

The items will be delivered to Paul's Pantry later this week. The pantry serves 13,000 individuals each year. It provides not only food and home goods for those in need, but also rides to and from its location.

"I think this is one of the more giving communities that there is," said Dave Herrmann, a Packers fan. "Packers fans are well known for traveling, but I think they're know for their generosity too."

In nearly three decades, the PWA has collected about 985,000 food items and $289,850 for the pantry.

Volunteers included various Packers' wives, UnitedHealthcare workers, and Paul's Pantry employees.

For every $5 donation or 5 non-perishable food items contributed, fans received a ticket stub good for a chance to win Packers autographed items.
