3rd attempted assault in Oshkosh

University of Oshkosh police are investigating an attempted assault that occurred at approximately 12:35am on Tuesday, September 10, 2013.
OSHKOSH, Wis. (WFRV) - University of Oshkosh police are investigating an attempted assault that occurred at approximately 12:35am on Tuesday, September 10, 2013.  

A female student reported that she was out walking in parking lot #14, located between Donner and Webster Hall.  

A man subject grabbed her by the arm and attempted to pull her backwards.  

The woman was able to physically strike the suspect and get loose from his grip.  

She then ran to her residence hall and reported the incident.

The suspect is described as a black man, around 5'10''. He was wearing longer dark colored gym style shorts and white tennis shoes. He had a dark hooded sweatshirt with the hood pulled up over his head

This comes on the heels of two other attacks near campus last week. In both of those cases the women were also able to escape unharmed.
