Alaska, Wisconsin lives up to its name

KEWAUNEE COUNTY, Wis. (WFRV) - The snow was sure coming down today in the unincorporated community of Alaska, located on Highway 42 in the Town of Pierce.

This Alaska, however, is nothing like the state. It's not surrounded by large bodies of Arctic Ocean and the Gulf of Alaska, but it does fall between the small East Alaska Lake, and West Alaska Lake.

And both Alaskas are ice fishing destinations in winter, when they are easily frozen over.
