Appleton's indoor farm market opens

Appleton's indoor farm market debuted for the 2013 winter months.
Appleton, Wis.(WFRV)- Just because the winter months are on their way to the Fox Valley doesn't mean you still can't buy fresh local products.

Appleton Downtown Inc. welcomed shoppers to the first indoor farmers market of the season in City Center Plaza. Over 50 vendors showed off their local farm fresh produce and homemade products just in time for the Christmas season.

"There's a lot of variety here with the market we try to have a variety we try not to over saturate any one category," says Market Director Djuanna Hugdaul, "We don't have 20 produce vendors or 20 jewelry vendors, we try to keep it nice and equal so everyone does well so when you do come to market you do see a variety."

The market hours are 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. every Saturday from November through March.
