Authorities identify drivers in fatal crash

Two people died in a crash that happened in Harris Township on Monday.

HARRIS TOWNSHIP, Wis. (WFRV) - Two people died in a crash that happened in Harris Township on Monday.

According to the Menominee County Sheriff's Office, a minivan struck a pickup truck around 7:30 p.m. on County Road 557.

25-year-old Curtis Grondin from Wilson was the driver of the pickup truck. The driver of the minivan has been identified as Lee Polfus from Escanaba. Both drivers died at the scene.

According to authorities, the minivan was going southbound when it crossed the centerline and collided with the truck.

Alcohol, speed and slippery road conditions may have played a part in the crash.
