Bomb squad searches home for explosives after possible shots fired

Police responded to a call of possible shots fired at a home in Menasha early Tuesday morning.
 

MENASHA, Wis. (WFRV) - A woman was taken into custody after S.W.A.T. teams responded to her home in Menasha early Tuesday morning.

Authorities responded to the 300 block of Lisbon Avenue at around 1:30 a.m.

According to the Menasha Police Department, the family was eventually questioned by police after two teenage daughters, a small boy and their mother eventually came outside.  

Authorities were lead to believe there might be explosives inside the home.

A bomb squad is investigating.

Authorities told those  living in the area to stay inside until the situation was resolved.

Authorities took the mother into custody. The father was at work at the time.
