Brown Co. United Way sets lofty fundraising goal

Last year the organization raised more that $4 million
BROWN CO. Wis. (WFRV) - The Brown County United Way is setting a big fundraising goal this year for it's annual Community Campaign.

During the campaign's kickoff event at Ledgeview Golf Course, the organization announced that it hopes to raise $ 4,050,000  dollars.

More than 200 businesses will organize events to help raise money for this year's campaign.

Organizers say the money will help fund 45 programs and initiatives.

"Frankly, the needs in the community are growing every year," campaign chair Denis Hogan says, "and it's necessary to increase what we raise for this effort so we can provide more funding for these agencies so we can deliver critical services to the community and helping those in need."

Last year, Brown County United Way raised more than $4,000,000.
