6 major healthcare providers partner up in new network

Several providers from northeast Wisconsin are involved
GREEN BAY, Wis. (WFRV) - Six of the top healthcare organizations in Wisconsin, including Aurora Healthcare and Bellin Health, are partnering up for a new statewide network.

The partnership is designed to allow all six providers to coordinate and share information in ways that would improve clinical quality, efficiency, customer service and reduce costs.

The other four providers are Aspirus of Wausau, Gunderson Health System of La Crosse, Theda Care of Appleton, and UW Health of Madison.

"We think it will be very positive for the community, and in terms of being able to share records more seamlessly in the long run," James Dietsche, Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Bellin Health says. "We also think that employers will embrace the idea of high performing health systems coming together to continue to improve quality and lower cost."

According to Bellin Health, 90% of Wisconsin residents will have access to the new healthcare network, along with people in Illinois, Iowa, Michigan, and Minnesota.
