Appleton Area School Dist. Referendum passes

Voters supported both questions in the $30 referendum
APPLETON, Wis. (WFRV) - The Appleton Area School District's $30 million referendum has passed.

The district asked  residents to vote on a pair of questions on Tuesday.

The first one  asked voters to approve  $25 million dollars on school safety and technology improvements district wide, that passed with a tally of 5097 to 3627

The second question asked for another $5 million to pay for ongoing maintenance projects, that passed with a vote of 4622 to 4083.

The district says tax payers will see an increase of $118 on a $100,000 home.  District officials say work could begin as soon as this year.
