Appleton City Council approves new apartment complex

The new townhouses will be built on the site where Foremost Dairies once stood

APPLETON, Wis. (WFRV) - The Appleton City Council has approved a proposal for a new apartment complex along the Fox River.

The new townhouses will be built on the site where Foremost Dairies once stood.

The $7.2 million will feature 96 units in 13 buildings on 8 acres

"I think it's a great not only regional but national example that Appleton brings to the table that will show alternative ways to urban sprawl, it will also show diversity of housing types," the project's architect, John Vitter says.

The project hasn't been without controversy because the project has met some opposition from nearby residents.
