Community steps forward to help Manna for Life

The food pantry and thrift store is being forced to move locations, but the new building needs a lot of work.
GREEN BAY, Wis. (WFRV) - A few weeks ago Manna for Life put out a call for help on Local 5.

Today , a group of volunteers did their part.

The food pantry and thrift store is being forced to move locations, but the new building needs a lot of work.

After seeing our story volunteers from Celebration Church organized a work day and constructed a fire escape.

"You kind of can feed off each other, you can support each other. Everyone has their own talents, and you use those talents" says volunteer David Kerscher.

Manna for Life also needs to raise about $150,000 to make the move.

They are hoping more groups like this step forward to help lower the bills.
