Marinette School District issues apology for questionable activity

The Marinette School District issued an apology for the "Cross the Line" activity.

Marinette, Wis.(WFRV)- The Marinette School District has issued an apology to students and their parents for a controversial classroom activity.

 

Last month, students at Marinette Middle School participated in an activity called "Cross the Line" which publicly asked children questions which their parents considered too personal.

 

The apology was as follows: On behalf of the School District of Marinette, the Board of Education and the Superintendent of Schools acknowledge responsibility for the recent Cross the Line Activity that took place at Marinette Middle School. We regret that an activity intended to have a positive outcome has given rise to concerns expressed by some in our community. Please accept our sincere apology and be assured that we will do everything within our powers to regain your trust as we continue to improve upon the educational services we provide to the students of this great community.
