Door County Sheriff's Department warning residents of break-ins

The Door County Sheriff’s Department has received several reports of break-ins to garages in the past week.
DOOR COUNTY, Wis. (WFRV) - The Door County Sheriff’s Department has received several reports of break-ins to garages in the past week. The area targeted is in Nasewaupee township, in southern Door County. Officials say suspects gained entry by going through unlocked doors or windows and also damaged doors to get inside; some entries were made while the home owners were asleep in their homes. The suspects stole sporting equipment and firearms.The Door County Sheriff’s Department reminds residents to lock their homes and garages and says items of significant value should be locked away in their homes or elsewhere.
