Gasification plant decision overturned

A controversial gasification plant, proposed by the Oneida Seven Generations Corporation, is being given new life.
GREEN BAY, Wis. (WFRV) - A controversial gasification plant, proposed by the Oneida Seven Generations Corporation, is being given new life.

A Brown County judge has reversed a 2012 ruling that pulled the conditional use permit to build the waste-to-energy plant in the city of Green Bay. The judge ruled that the city acted arbitrarily, and without enough evidence to revoke the permit.

Seven Generation's proposed plant was thought to be environmentally harmful, but the judged ruled that the corporation complies with the city's air and water quality regulations.
