Green Bay police search for peeping tom

Green Bay police need your help, as they search for a man accused of allegedly peeping into one couple's bedroom window - twice in the last month.

GREEN BAY, Wis., (WFRV) Green Bay police need your help, as they search for a man accused of allegedly peeping into one couple's bedroom window - twice in the last month.

The first time it happened the victims caught the man red-handed. The next time, they caught the suspect on a security camera.

Whenever Patti Van Eyck watches this video of an apparent window peeper, peering into her bedroom - she starts to cry.

"It scares me - knowing that someone was there by my bedroom window," said Van Eyck.

Van Eyck says the video taken last week, actually captured this suspect's second visit to her westside apartment in the past three weeks. She says she first saw him outside her bedroom window June 1 - when she stepped out onto her patio that night.

"I looked at him and said what the heck are your doing there," Van Eyck said. "After the first incident we bought a security camera."

Last Thursday - around 1:30 in the morning - that camera filmed the suspects return.

"And there was a guy on our sidewalk and he went to our bedroom window and he's got both hands in his pocket and he is crouching down." Van Eyck said. "He just walked right up to our bedroom window - it's scary."

Green Bay Police Captain Jeremy Muraski agrees.

"We had two incidents both at the same residence - so that's kind of alarming to us," Muraski said.

Police say the suspect appears to be targeting the couple's home. However, until he is caught - police can only guess on his motives.

"Sometimes people will case property to break in, other times it's sexual deviants looking for someone to assault," said the police captain.

And until he is found - the Van Eyck's won't rest.

"I can't even sleep in our bedroom because I'm so afraid to go in there at night time," said Van Eyck. "I just want him caught so we can ask him why?"

Police have posted images of the man from the video on their Facebook page. He described as having a thin build, in his late 20's or early 30's. If you have any information contact the Green Bay Police Department.
