Haven of Hope Parents Call for Board's Resignation

LITTLE CHUTE, Wis. (WFRV) - A group of parents affected by the closing of a special needs care center in Little Chute are looking to take action against the center's board of directors.

Haven of Hope closed last week after its board of directors told family and staff that it ran out of money.

Parents who spoke to Local Five are now calling for the resignation of every member of Haven of Hope's board.

"We would love to reopen the doors," Lisa Schneider, whose daughter attended the center says, "it's been home to our loved ones for many years, but if that's not possible, we're prepared to take alternate steps."

They also say they're looking at opening a new care facility.
