Rumored "kill list" in possession of Hortonville Police

Hortonville Police have obtained a list created by several students.

Hortonville, Wis.(WFRV)- A rumored "kill list" at Hortonville High School is now in possession of police. Reports of the list surfaced yesterday, causing the school to be put into a "soft" lockdown in order to have the school searched.

According to the school, several students interviews were conducted and the process revealed that two students created the list. The school district is now following disciplinary processes for those students.

"The police are involved. We've been working with the Hortonville Police Department and once the investigation is complete, there will be charges recommended." says Dr. Heidi Schmidt District Administrator of the Hortonville Area School District.

According to Schmidt, police took possession of the list on Tuesday night. Starting on Wednesday, law enforcement officials went about contacting the parents who's children's names were on that list.

At no time were students and staff in any danger. The Hortonville School District says the safety of students is their top priority.
