APPLETON, WI (July 18, 2014) – Mile of Music’s artist roster for the second annual original music festival is now complete, and the final number tops 200, according to festival organizers.
Set for August 7 through 10 in downtown Appleton, the festival features original singer-songwriters, combos and bands that will converge along and near College Avenue to make music and build community, as well as showcase the unique vibrancy that Appleton has to offer – from restaurants and coffeehouses to retail shops and nightlife hotspots – at 60 venues.
Founded and organized by Appleton native and national recording artist, Cory Chisel and Dave Willems, president and CEO of Willems Marketing, Inc., the festival – dubbed, “Mile 2” to reflect its second year – brings many musical styles including roots and indie rock to country, soul, blues and folk to downtown Appleton. The festival showcases original music only – all of the artists featured are artisans crafting original songs based on life’s experiences and journeys travelled.
In all, the 213 performers announced will deliver more than 600 live performances at venues along College Avenue and the Fox River.
