Omro residents ask school board to reconsider bus change

Dozens of residents came out to a school board meeting Tuesday night to deliver a petition signed by 1,100 people.
OMRO, Wis. (WFRV) - People in Omro are fighting to keep a local company for its school bus service.

Dozens of residents came out to a school board meeting Tuesday night to deliver a petition signed by 1,100 people.

The petition asks the board to reconsider its decision to switch from the locally-owned Garvens brothers busing service to Kobussen busing of Kaukauna.

Residents say a major concern about switching is that Kobussen is located so far from Omro.

The full board will address the issue next week during a special meeting.
