The annual kid's pow wow honored Oneida culture and youth

ONEIDA (WFRV) - The Native American community has a strong tradition of honoring its culture and youth. Its annual kids Pow-Wow is one way.

The beat of the drum has an important place in Native American culture. A life that is expressive through sound and clothing.

More than 15,000 people attended the event at the Radisson Hotel and Conference Center on Saturday in Oneida. Their goal is to honor and teach its youth from 15 different tribes in the Midwest.

They also want non-Native Americans to come and learn more about their culture.
