GREEN BAY, Wisc. (WFRV) Green Bay Police are investigating numerous reports of shots fired in the area of 1300 South Chestnut.

The Brown County Dispatch Center began receiving several calls just after 4am Tuesday. Witnesses reported hearing the gunshots ring out in their neighborhood.

When police arrived on scene, they observed several people running from the area.

With no specific address from where the shots came from, a perimeter was set up and the K-9 unit was brought in. Neighbors were urged to stay in their homes with their doors locked.

After an extensive search, police say no evidence was found that a crime was committed. No shell casings were found.

Neighbors in the area should no longer be concerned, however they are asked to call police if they notice any suspicious activity.

An adult female, who ran from the scene, was taken into custody on an unrelated warrant.
