Propane relief for Amberg

AMBERG, Wis. (WFRV) - Customer's Gas Service received approximately 9,000 gallons of propane late Saturday.
AMBERG, Wis. (WFRV) - Relief has finally arrived for some customers low on propane, eight days after a state of emergency was declared.

Customer's Gas Service received approximately 9,000 gallons of propane late Saturday and Marinette County Emergency Management Director Eric Burmeister said the company would be out early Sunday delivering fuel.

But long time customer Ginger Nys is still waiting for word.

"I'm hoping so," Nys said. "But nobody has called me to tell me that they were coming."

Calls to Customer's Gas were not return.

And while some customers are willing to foot the more expensive price, others like Nys are tempted to close up shop.

"We'll probably shut our place down and go down to Illinois and stay with our son until spring," she said.
