St. Norbert College prepares for Packers camp

Dorm rooms were fitted with 100 custom beds and other fixtures for the players.
DE PERE, Wis. (WFRV) - Preparations for Packers training camp are underway at St. Norbert College. Monday, dorm rooms were fitted with 100 custom beds and other fixtures for the players.

The team will begin moving into the dorms Thursday, the 24th.

Even though St. Norbert won't host any on-field activities, the college will serve as a home away from for the team and is fully stocked with everything the players need. The college is also fully prepared to keep those hungry players properly fed at all hours.

"Freshly prepared pasta bowls, rice bowls, a bountiful full of fruits and vegetables," Kelly Nass, manager of Packer Camp says. "I have a crew of about 10 staff members that work on campus and help prepare the meals and serve the Packers throughout the late night snack."

This will be the 57th year the packers have held their summer training camp at St. Norbert college, the longest such relationship between a pro football team and a college in the NFL.
