Titletown bike tour raises money for Breast Cancer education

Cycling enthusiasts had a chance to take in some of area's most interesting trails and landmarks and help a good cause at the same time.
BROWN COUNTY, Wis. (WFRV) - Cycling enthusiasts had a chance to take in some of area's most interesting trails and landmarks and help a good cause at the same time.

It was during the 14th annual Titletown Bike Tour. Cyclists could choose from five routes ranging from a 15-kilometer family route through Howard, to 80 kilometer and 100 kilometer loops for those who really wanted a challenge.

When the ride was complete, participants could enjoy entertainment like a DJ, cook out, raffle, and more.

All the proceeds went to the Breast Cancer Family Foundation, a group that teaches kids about breast cancer.

"We're talking to the freshmen high school kids and they're at that age where they start making decisions on their own," Stacie Hackl, the Executive Director of the Breast Cancer Family Foundation says. "So this gives them the right information to make healthy choices to reduce the risk of getting cancer."

Since 2001, the tour has raised more than $630,000 to support programs within Green Bay and its surrounding communities.
