Donald Driver greets fans, signs memoir

Donald Driver signs copies of his new memoir, Driven: From Homeless to Hero, My Journeys On and Off Lambeau Field Wednesday at Ashwaubenon's Barnes & Noble.
Ashwaubenon, Wis. (WFRV) - Packers great Donald Driver signs copies of his new memoir Wednesday for more than 400 fans.

"This is the first book signing," Driver said. "We didn't do it in New York. We decided to bring it to where it all started -right here in Green Bay, Wisconsin."

Driver is no rookie to penning the word, he's published several children's books already, but writing a memoir about his own life proved to be challenging.

"I had to be authentic. I had to let everyone know exactly my life story... showing everyone the ups and downs of my life."

Fans of Driver waited hours to meet the Packers all-time leading receiver, but they said it was worth the wait.

"I saw Donald at training camp when I was eleven years old and I wanted him to sign something for me, but I didn't have a marker," said Kristin Tucholski, a cheerleader for UW-Green Bay. "So I've been waiting for this for a long time!"

Driver's book covers a wide-range of topics, from growing up in a U-Haul trailer to winning the Super Bowl.
