Fugitive Caught in Ashwaubenon

A local fugitive was taken into custody after fleeing from cops.
ASHWAUBENON, Wisc. (WFRV) A local fugitive was taken into custody after fleeing from cops.

Justin Grunwald, a 21-year-old from Ashwaubenon, had felony warrants out for his arrest. He was also wanted by police after failing to returning to jail while on work release.

Ashwaubenon Police and the Brown County Sheriff's Department went to the 1100 block of Cormier Road shortly after 5:30pm Monday in an attempt to locate Grunwald.

Grunwald fled on foot.

A perimeter was set up and  the K9 unit was called in.

Grunwald was seen entering his apartment. He was eventually taken into custody at 10:45pm.

After being treated at a local hospital for dog bites from the K9, Grunwald was booked into the Brown County Jail.
