Going on strike against homelessness

Green Bay residents showed up to go on strike against homelessness at a local bowling alley.
 Green Bay, Wis.(WFRV)- The fight against homelessness in Green Bay was on a roll today.

Green Bay's New Community Shelter held its 18th annual bowling event in Ashwaubenon. Almost 200 bowlers turned out to help strike out homelessness in the area.

"This event basically benefits the services that we provide to the residents of the shelter," says organizer Terri Refsguard, "Whether it be case management, counseling we also have our community meal program where we serve dinner 365 days a year."

The event is the second largest fundraiser for the organization and its goal for 2013 is to rais $138,000 dollars.
