Those benefiting from food stamps have been forced to adjust to cuts in their monthly allowance.
Green Bay, Wis.(WFRV)- Those benefiting from food stamps have been forced to adjust to cuts in their monthly allowance.

As of November 1st benefits were slashed due to the expiration of extra funding from the 2009 stimulus package. It isn't just individuals feeling the cuts, Paul's Pantry in Green Bay is feeling the after effects in the form of more people using its services.

For Idalia Escobedo, the cutback means telling her two neices that they will have to budget their snacks and orange juice.

"I felt kind of bad because they don't understand why. All they know is that we get food stamps and that's all they know. They don't know about cut-backs and what not, but they're going to know now." says Idalia.

Escobedo says she is now relying on food pantries and churches to supplement the $40 dollars she lost from her monthly grocery budget.
