MENASHA, Wis. (WFRV) - A local girl was honored on Thursday after translating for paramedics when her mother became unconscious.

8-Year-Old Iyara Yang called 9-1-1 and helped gold cross paramedics gain communication with her unresponsive mother.

 Her mother speaks limited English.
