Nearly 400,000 Cars Recalled

American Honda is recalling certain vehicles because of potential malfunctions in the airbag system.

About 318,000 Honda Odyssey vehicles from model years 2003-2004 are affected, along with about 56,000 Acura MDX vehicles from model year 2003.

The recall is to address potential malfunctions in the Supplemental Restraint System (SRS) airbag system due to electrical interference. To prevent the malfunction, American Honda will install an electrical noise filter for free.

While no crashes have been reported from this issue, Honda says they have received an increasing number of complaints of airbags going off inadvertently.

Notifications will be sent to customers in late October. If you receive a notice, take your vehicle to an authorized dealer as soon as possible.
