Wisconsin lawmakers react to NSA changes

Wisconsin lawmakers make their opinions heard about the recent changes made to the NSA from President Obama.

Green Bay, Wis(WFRV)-Wisconsin lawmakers reacted today after President Obama announced major changes are coming at the National Security Agency.

Obama is ordering the agency to transform the way it stores digital information collected from millions of Americans. This morning, the President laid out his blueprint for the NSA reforms.

U.S. Senator Tammy Baldwin released this statement:

"Today, the President took a strong step towards putting in place reforms that will help ensure that our counter-terrorism efforts respect the constitutional civil liberties and freedoms of the American people."

This statement was also released from U.S. Congressman Reid Ribble:

"I look forward to reviewing the details of the President's ideas as well as additional legislative proposals, so we can ensure both our civil liberties and our national security are preserved."

U.S. Senator Ron Johnson also joined Local 5 News at 4 p.m. to discuss his thoughts on the changes.
