APPLETON, Wis. (WFRV) - Officials are still investigating the cause of a structure fire in Appleton where two residents were displaced.
The Appleton Fire Department responded to the fire off West 6th Street around 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
The homeowners were able to evacuate the home safely.
The fire was contained to the attic where officials found that the insulation was burning.
The family is receiving assistance from the Red Cross.
Initial damage is estimated at $50,000.
