Oneida Tribe supports Menominee Tribe in Kenosha casino

The Oneida Tribe announced that they will support the Menominee Indian Tribe of Indians of Wisconsin in their efforts to build a casino in Kenosha.
ONEIDA, Wis. (WFRV) - The Oneida Tribe announced that they will support the Menominee Indian Tribe of Indians of Wisconsin in their efforts to build a casino in Kenosha.

The Oneida Tribe says they support the Menominee project and has agreed to work together on providing the banking services through Oneida's Bay Bank.


Bay Bank will provide a variety of financial and baking related services for the Kenosha casino project.


The Oneida Tribe and Menominee Tribe have long historical ties that weighed substantially into the decision to keep good relations for future generations.


Chairman Delgado concludes with, “We have taken several weeks to make our decision. It has been our goal to ensure we have considered all available information possible and gauged impacts on our economy, our community and the overall state of inter-tribal relationships.”
