Green Bay, Wis.(WFRV)-The Brown County OWI Task Force is stepping up their deployment this weekend with what officials are calling a power weekend.
The task force will be out not only be out looking for drunk drivers but also tomorrow night. The targeted locations of where extra officers will be on patrol remain under wraps as usual. But no matter where you are, the best route is just to stay sober.
"It's just a weekend for us to really send home our message, especially early on in the year so we have many good years here of late of traffic fatalities that we want to get out there in force and send out the right message." says Mike Panosh of the Wisconsin State Patrol.
This is the first of four power weekends to be conducted this year according to the task force.
