Playoff hopes rise for Packers fans

Hopes of making the playoffs are high for Green and Gold Nation.
GREEN BAY, Wis. (WFRV) - Hopes of making the playoffs are high for Green and Gold Nation.

With their 22-21 victory over the Atlanta Falcons at Lambeau Field yesterday, the Green Bay Packers are now just a half game out of first place in the wide open NFC North.

Today, Coach Mike McCarthy addressed the game, and the possibility of Aaron Rodgers' big return. "The plan for Aaron [Rodgers] is, he's gonna work out tomorrow as part of his rehab," says McCarthy. "He'll be evaluated Wednesday morning by Dr. Pat McKenzie. I just met with the training staff before I walked in [to the press conference]. They're gonna do some things tomorrow that they haven't done last week. He's still not medically cleared."

McCarthy also says Rodgers needs medical clearance to play, even if the QB feels that he can play.

The Packers will hit the road this week, to take on the Dallas Cowboys. Sunday's game also marks the first time the Packers have played at Cowboys' Stadium in Arlington since they won Super Bowl XLV.
