MADISON, Wisc. (WFRV) The private school voucher program will expand statewide.
That's the decision coming out of a marathon session of the Joint Finance Committee. The Committee voted early Wednesday morning on a vote of 12-4 to expand vouchers throughout Wisconsin. The money to pay for it will come from the state's general fund, meaning property taxes will not go up.
The Committee also voted to raise the payments per student in public schools by $150.
