Public hearing on 70 mph speed limit proposal

Representative Paul Tittl of Manitowoc is proposing a speed limit increase on Wisconsin freeways and highways.
MADISON, Wis. (WFRV) - Representative Paul Tittl of Manitowoc is proposing a speed limit increase on Wisconsin freeways and highways.

The republican would like the speed limit on four lane freeways and highways to increase from 65 mph to 75 mph.

A public hearing will take place tomorrow at the Wisconsin State Capitol in Madison at 11:00 a.m.

Today, on Local 5 News at 4:00 p.m., Rep. Tittl spoke about how he believes a change like this would benefit the state.
