Salvation Army still looking for help to feed those in need

The Salvation Army of Brown County still needs help to feed those in need during the holiday season.

BROWN COUNTY, Wis. (WFRV) - The Salvation Army of Brown County still needs help to feed those in need during the holiday season.

The Salvation Army has totaled all of the numbers from their annual Christmas Assistance distribution.

Over the course of two days, the Salvation Army of Brown County assisted:

471 families through Adopt a Family.
216 individuals who picked up a food basket.
330 elderly and people with disabilities had food baskets delivered to them.
222 elderly and people with disabilities received gifts through the Silver Bell program.
147 children from 49 families received clothing and pajamas through the Angel Tree program.
2,081 families with 5,362 children came through Toy Shop and received books, toys, stocking stuffers and a food basket.
94 households signed up through emergency sign up.

The red kettles will be out until December 28 to catch any last minute shoppers or those picking up groceries for a big holiday feast.
