The team will be spending the next couple of nights at the Paper Valley Hotel in downtown Appleton.
There were about a half dozen fans here to greet the team when it arrived around 8:45.
The players were quick to comment on the weather as they got off the team bus...
When they took off this afternoon in San Francisco the temperature was 70 degrees, they were greeted by -11 windchill here in Appleton.
Now 49ers QB Collin Kaepernick was born here in Wisconsin, but he's only played in 2 career games where the temperature was below 40 degrees.
He's played very well in both of those games and that has fans confident heading into this weekend's game
"We're really excited its always fun just to see the players," Vaughn Oestrich, a 49ers fan says, "it's always a blast to get an autograph when we can."
"I hope the Packers win but I hope Kaepernick plays well," Ben Erickson, a fan of Kaepernick says, "and I hope it's not as cold as they predict."
As Linebacker Patrick Willis got off the bus, he was asked his thoughts on the cold weather. His response "it is what it is, I can handle this!"
