The Allstate Reality Ride Simulator debuted in Green Bay. It demonstrates the dangers of distracted driving by putting people in real life scenarios. While in the simulator, you are asked to text or talk on the phone while driving. You are then forced to react to a situation in the simulator.
Chad Halvorsan tried it and he said it was defiantly a wake-up call.
"In the age of technology, everything is at your finger tips, it's kind of hard to shut that off, but at the same time, you know is it worth it. Could you wait the extra ten minutes, pull over do something else and text or call later?" said Halvorsan.
Distracted driving is the number one cause of vehicle collisions in the United States. The simulator will head to 20 other major U.S. cities to continue its tour.
