The Waupaca County Sheriff's Department is warning residents not to travel on roads unless it is absolutely necessary.
WAUPACA COUNTY, Wis. (WFRV) - The Waupaca County Sheriff's Department is warning residents not to travel on roads unless it is absolutely necessary.

According to Sheriff Brad Hardel, the Waupaca County Communications Center has received reports of 30 accidents in the county since 6 A.M. The sheriff also says salt has been applied to the roads to help with ice, but may not be working because of the temperature outside.

Authorities also warn drivers to reduce their speed on U.S. Highway 10, due to the large number accidents on that highway.
