The #1 ranked Appleton East Patriots defeated Watertown, 3-2 on Saturday, in 27 innings.
The #1 ranked Appleton East Patriots defeated Watertown, 3-2 on Saturday, in 27 innings in the CHI-HI Invitational at Chippewa Falls.

The game is the 7th longest high school softball game of all time, according to the National Federation of State High Schools.

The Patriots, ranked #1 in the state in Division 1, will look to reach the WIAA state tournament for the fifth straight year when the postseason gets underway later this month.
