Green Bay fills safety need with former Alabama player

Heading into Thursday night's first round of the NFL Draft, the Green Bay Packers biggest need appeared to be at safety.

With the 21st pick, Ted Thompson went a long way toward filling that need, selecting safety HaHa Clinton-Dix from the University of Alabama.

Clinton-Dix played in all 14 games for the National Champion Crimson Tide in 2012 as a sophomore, intercepting five passes and recording 37 tackles.

He played in 11 games in 2013, starting 9. He was suspended for two games for accepting a loan from an assistant coach.Clinton-Dix will wear #21 for the Packers, and will likely be expected to start right away.
