Report - Clay Matthews to miss a month with broken thumb

ESPN is reporting that Clay Matthews' broken thumb will keep him out of action for a while.
ESPN's Adam Schefter reported Monday that Packers linebacker Clay Matthews is expected to miss a month with a broken thumb, suffered Sunday against the Detroit Lions.

Matthews suffered the injury when sacking Detroit quarterback Matthew Stafford late in the third quarter of the Packers 22-9 victory Sunday.

Green Bay head coach Mike McCarthy didn't give any updates on Matthews' status during his Monday press conference, saying he was still undergoing tests.

The Packers travel to Baltimore Sunday to face the defending Super Bowl Champion Ravens.
