Report: Packers Release QB Graham Harrell

It appears the Packers have picked Vince Young over Graham Harrell to back up Aaron Rodgers at quarterback
According to a report by ESPN's Adam Schefter, the Green Bay Packers have released QB Graham Harrell.

Harrell had been the leading candidate to back up Aaron Rodgers at quarterback, but when Green Bay signed Vince Young the pressure was on the 3rd year player to prove he could lead the offense in game action.  This preseason Harrell completed 23-of-42 passes for 169 yards, no touchdowns, and one interception.  The former Texas tech standout led the Packers on 14 drives, but they only resulted in a total of three points.

Meanwhile, Vince Young continues to learn the Packers' offense after being signed on August 5th.  He impressed with his arm and his legs against Seattle Friday completing 6-of-7 passes for 41 yards and a touchdown.  He also ran three times for a team-high 39 yards.

B.J. Coleman is the only other QB on the roster, and is eligible to be placed on the Packers practice squad again if they choose to only go with two quarterbacks on the final roster.
